Prof. Viola Makin
Vi Makin is a Professor of Strategic Leadership and Governance with a doctorate from the University of Pretoria and is associated with UNISA Graduate School of Business Leadership (SBL). As a respected facilitator of MBA students at SBL, Wits Graduate School of Business and the University of Maryland, Washington, and as Director and Non-Executive Director, Vi has had many opportunities to view art collections in a corporate environment. Her revived interest in contemporary African art led her to WITS Museum (WAM), which she further consolidated with research in art collections and its value by completing the Honours Degree in Curatorship at UCT.
Cheyne is a passionate art enthusiast and has seen many modern and contemporary artworks.This has included visits to MOMA,Tate,MOCA,Art Institute in Chicago and The Met in New York.
He has travelled to America,U.K,Europe,Australia and has lived in Auckland ,New Zealand .
He is fascinated with the current developments in online art galleries and art auctions and supports many initiatives in Johannesburg including Victoria Yards,WAM,Everard Read Gallery and CIRCA
Cheyne is passionate about IT and how it can solve business problems with agility. His expertise is bringing hands on experience in digital implementation and an ability to link that to the financial, manufacturing, cultural and change management within the business.
He has prior experience as a Senior Manager at Deloitte focused in ERP and Business processes in Global Tax Technology solutions.He is a senior IT business systems analyst with fourteen years’ system experience in ERP, System Integration, Human Capital Management, E-Commerce and IT Business Analysis, he has has worked on large and medium sized projects both locally and internationally.
His experience also includes strategic pre-sale business development,business case development, business process management, business analysis, ERP Implementations, IT project management and software selection.
